I know I haven't been on xanga forever...but wanted to thank those again who know of my gong gong passing last saturday and appreciate all the support.  =)

I also want to thank those that congratulated me on my new job which I love but will have to write an update another day.

Thank you for listening...

great news...

this is a little delayed, but i got the official letter yesterday: i just got an offer from Asian Health Services in Oakland Chinatown to be their Youth Program Coordinator!!  woot woot!!!  i am hella excited...this is a great stepping stone for me to be in management in 5-10 years.  not only will this encompass both social work and youth development programming, i get to do grant writing also, which i'm actually excited about.  so it looks like i have 1 last week of sitting on my ass and then start work on the 8th.  wish me luck... =D

congrats to elaine also for being usc bound this fall!!!

on a side note, i've been playing partypoker like CRAZY lately (if you wanna join, i can refer you so you get bonus money by the way), but i've qualified 3 times to this world series of poker tourney with anywhere from 3500-5000 players, and today is my 3rd time and there's only 200 players left.  i need to be top 20 tho to make it to an all expensed paid trip to vegas for the wsop tournament.  teehee teehee...

GO GIANTS!!!

Went to my first opening day today against the ATL Braves and the giants put a whopping 6-run 3rd inning to win 6-4!!!  yeah yeah!

I feel so proud of myself, i just finished reading the DaVinci Code...it's not often that I start reading books for fun, but am glad I can do that now.

thank to everyone who supported me during my tough job dilemma.  i really appreciate all of you who took time out to talk to me or send me supportive messages.

after thinking long and hard for about 1.5 weeks about whether i should take the geriatric job or not...i decided not to take it.  instead, i know that i really want to work with youth and that i will find a job that i will love and can also challenge myself.

so i have an interview today with asian health services in oakland chinatown as their youth program coordinator, and hopefully i'll have a 2nd interview in san mateo with cora (community overcoming relationship abuse) as their teen services coordinator.  truthfully, i'd prefer the cora position, so time to keep those fingers crossed.

until next time...
